"It doesn't mean the government taking over of private property" - sure, they just tell you what you can and cannot do with "your" property or what you are compelled to do with "your" property. Saying they aren't taking your property is a distinction without a difference. The point of private property is to be able to do with it what _you_ want to do with it, and not be compelled and controlled by others. But under "democratic socialism", you don't get the former, you get the latter.

As my grandmother always said "Nothing in life is free" so when they say free college i have to ask who is going to pay for it. we tax payers already guarantee these insane student loans. if you want to lower college prices abolish the student loan program. i wish i could get a deal from the government like the universities currently have. hey if your customers cant pay you that's okay the tax payers will pick up the tab.

Juan: "tax the companies"
me: you really don't get it, do you? You don't seem to understand who actually pays those taxes. Not the businesses - it's you and me and everyone else. You're just trying to use the smoke and mirrors of "tax the man behind the tree" to try to fool everyone into thinking that someone else pays those taxes and not you, me and everyone else. They just pass the cost of those taxes on to you, me, and everyone else in the prices we pay for those goods and services. How stupid do you have to be to not get that?
